Football Match Centre Redesign

Year: 2014
Client: Fox Sports Australia
My Role: UX Lead

THE CHALLENGE

With only a few months before the World Cup began in Brazil, the project was to put together a dedicated section for the tournament on our website and to improve the experience of our current (old) football match centre. As the lead UX Architect I led all the UX and collaboration activities such as strategic workshops, concept design, prototyping, user research, and wireframing.

THE APPROACH

Among the activities that I led were:

  • Strategic Workshops
  • Analytics studies – user journeys
  • Personas
  • Sketching Workshops
  • Prototyping
  • User Testing
  • Wireframing

THE OUTCOME

As a result we introduced a new match centre navigation on web and mobile, a navigation that was closer to our users way of experiencing an event, with a Pre, Live, and Post stages of a match. The new designs and templates allowed our editorial team to add their analysis articles pre-match, a live blog during a match, and a match-report after the match.
